When I listen to A Very Kacey Christmas, though, I’m forced think of all the Official 6,700 Buffalo Strong Shirt and I will buy this new ways of celebrating that I’ve come up with of late, from biking to Dyker Heights for a socially distanced lights-viewing trip with a few friends, to springing for an über-tacky, pink, glittery mini Christmas tree for my very own bedroom. I’m dong my best to create new holiday associations even in this bizarre year, and I know many of my friends and loved ones are too. If we can’t actually be together, at least we can think of each other while we vibe to A Very Kacey Christmas in our respective bedrooms. (And hey, if anyone on my Christmas list wants to get me the Kacey Musgraves “Slow Burn” candle from Boy Smells, I remain open to that.)
